FAQs & More Details
Who is this program for?
This program was designed with high school students in mind. Providing the basics of career development seems so important for this time in life. Whether it helps you pick out classes for the next school year, find a new hobby to explore, or get a jumpstart on thinking about what you may study after high school, I hope you gain some valuable insight about yourself! Additionally, this program works and is available for anyone looking for this type of career planning. That could include students already in college or people looking to change careers, re-enter the workforce, or about to retire.

Will we talk about college applications?
No, our focus here is not college-specific, but instead on that first step in career planning (i.e., trying to develop a clear vocational identity). We may discuss skills or college majors related to your matching career fields, but we won't talk much about specific colleges. That being said, after going through this program, I do hope those next steps become clearer and easier in the long run.

What is the total cost for this program?
The total cost is $250, which includes access to the Myers-Briggs® and Strong® assessments through the publisher, our 1-hour consultation, and about 30 pages worth of materials (including your full reports, a list of matching job titles, planning materials for classes, clubs, college majors, etc., and extra resources).

Where will we meet?
If you're in Bedford, NH, my plan is to come to you and meet with you at your house, especially if that means your parent(s) will be available for the session, as well. The goal is for you to be your most relaxed and comfortable, ready to talk about yourself! We can also discuss other options (such as, a park, the library, a coffee shop) or meeting over Zoom, if that's more convenient for you.

Is this a "counseling" session?
Not in the general sense. Meaning, we won't talk about your life in general or any psychological patterns. Instead, our discussion will be limited to school and career environments and your interests within those areas. In the end though, the goal of our session is similar, in that we'll hopefully reduce anxiety and increase enthusiasm for your education and future career.

Will I know what career I should go into after this program?
Maybe, but maybe not. And that's okay! You're just at the beginning of the long process of developing a career, and our goal is to set you off on the best path for you. Specifically, we'll focus on trying to understand you and your unique interests, filter out careers that don't seem to be a good fit, and then highlight the ones you may want to explore. You'll have many career-related choices through your life, and this is just the starting point to help you actively pursue your academic interests and career potential.
